On Track Summary

Entering Prodigy Week with experience in sports car racing, Hibbitt initially struggled to find his pace and adapt to the race car. However, he persevered, experimenting with new techniques and lines to gain speed. Ultimately, Hibbitt finished as the second quickest on track, just shy of Chase winner Will Redford. He possesses a solid foundation, great talent, and the ability to perform under pressure, though he requires a few more sessions to find speed compared to his top competitors. At just 15 years old, he has demonstrated his pace, but the question remains: does he have the final tenth needed to become a champion?

Off-Track Summary

Hibbitt was highly focused and determined to learn throughout the event. A great teammate, he assisted others with their video and data, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to review it back at the hotel. Although he has a slightly shy personality, Hibbitt is not afraid to step up and take on a leadership role when needed. He is also comfortable with media interviews, as demonstrated during Prodigy Week and in previous events. His personality and skill earned him a selection to Williams Esports at 18th overall.

Bio

From Westerville, Ohio, Hibbitt began his racing career at age 5 when his parents formed the family-owned race team, Hibbitt Motorsports. In Kamden’s seven-plus (7+) years behind the wheel while driving quarter midgets, he earned one hundred twelve (112) feature wins and twenty (20) championships including two USAC Midwest Thunder Regional Titles. After retiring from quarter midgets, I moved my focus to sports cars and road racing. In 2022, I completed multiple test sessions, was a Mazda Motorsports Spec MX-5 Shootout Nominee and in December of that year, and at only 13 years old, became one of the youngest drivers to obtain his full competition license through the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). In 2023, I began my first full season of road racing where I competed in the highly-competitive Spec Miata class where I earned one runner-up result along with multiple top five and top ten finishes. In November of 2023, I earned my highest honor to date being named as a Mazda Motorsports factory driver and ambassador for the 2024 season after winning the Mazda Motorsports Spec MX-5 Shootout at Carolina Motorsports Park. In May of 2024, I was one of 20 drivers worldwide to be selected to participate in Racing Prodigy’s prestigious “Prodigy Week” in Atlanta, Georgia. I pride myself on performing well in the classroom. On a path to be a future engineer, I am currently taking advanced placement classes in mathematics, English and global studies and for the past four (4) years, I have achieved straight As for all grading periods. Finally, I am currently a member of my high school’s band program. I enjoy spending my free time racing on the simulator, video production, and being around family and friends.
