NEW ORLEANS, LA (November 18 2024) – The Prodigy Three (P3) Championship Series, the first of three real-world series within the Prodigy Racing League™ (PRL™), created by Racing Prodigy, made its historic debut over the weekend at the NOLA Motorsports Park as six Prodigy Racing Teams competed in the first two rounds of the 10-round series. The three-day event culminated with six head-to-head team races, with TC Racing and Guild taking an early lead in the overall team standings and Laurens Beerten (Guild) and Garrett Lowe (BS+COMPETITION) sitting atop the driver standings.
They were coached by an all-star lineup, including Indy 500 racer Katherine Legge, NASCAR driver Boris Said, F1 test driver and international racer Tatiana Calderón, American driver and multiple-time champion Robby Foley, racing driver Andrew Carbonell, and Williams Esports Chief Engineer Michael Preston.
The Prodigy Racing Teams, each consisting of four drivers and six practice squad drivers, are part of the world’s first e2Real™ sports league, which leverages gaming competitions to discover and develop racing talent, making motorsports more accessible. The drivers—ranging in age from 15 to 46 and hailing from 15 countries, including two female drivers and five mobile gamers—have received paid contracts with Racing Prodigy. To enhance fan engagement, each car number corresponds to the driver’s draft selection order, allowing fans to easily track their performance throughout the series.

The Prodigy of the Event selections were Garrett Lowe (#16 – BS+COMPETITION) from the U.S.; runner-up Laurens Beerten (#5 – Guild) from Belgium; and third-place finisher Michael Romanidis (#23 – G2) from Greece. These drivers demonstrated exceptional performance in both on-track competition and team contributions, as determined by the PRL Committee of Judges. Edoardo Leo (#15 – TC Racing) of Italy clocked the fastest lap during the head-to-head races with a time of 1:47.80.
“As I look ahead to Sebring, I’ll definitely be sim racing to run as many laps as I can, so I am comfortable when I arrive there,” said Garrett Lowe of BS+COMPETITION. “It’s really bumpy, so you need to be in shape, and I need to work on that a little bit before I get there.”
In the Knockout Race with the practice squad drivers, Craig Laws, 46, from the United Kingdom, ended his journey in the PRL and will not advance in the remaining 8 rounds. The series will see nine more depart by season’s end. During the racing season, teams will also have the option to send any driver down to call up a practice squad driver.
“This has been a wonderful experience which has been forty-odd years in the making,” said Craig Laws. “I’ve always wanted to be a race car driver but it was out of reach financially for my family. This kind of thing just did not exist when I was at an age when I was in my prime. I wanted to support Racing Prodigy even though I knew it wasn’t beyond me talent-wise; I knew it was age-wise.”
None of the six Prodigy Racing teams made any driver changes during the Waiver Wire, so the current rosters will head to Sebring International Raceway on Jan. 6-7.
“My biggest takeaway from our inaugural race is how prepared the drivers were and how comfortable they felt behind the wheel,” said Guild Prodigy Racing Team Coach Katherine Legge. “They did not show any fear and really listened to our guidance to help them become the best driver they can become. The next eight rounds are going to be so competitive, so I really encourage everyone to tune in and join us for an incredible ride.”
The P3 Championship regular season will continue with four race events and 8 Rounds, featuring 24 rostered drivers and 5 practice squad drivers competing head-to-head in Radical SR1 race cars. Each event includes 9 practice sessions, a qualifying session to determine lane choice for the head-to-head team matchups, and 6 head-to-head races. Races are 18 minutes long, utilize rolling starts, and cannot finish under caution. Additionally, each event will feature an elimination race for practice squad drivers.

- P3 Rounds 3 & 4 – January 6-7, 2025 – Sebring International Raceway – Sebring, FL
- P3 Rounds 5 & 6 – February 4-5, 2025 – Homestead-Miami Speedway – Homestead, FL
- P3 Rounds 7 & 8 – February 25-26, 2025 – Atlanta Motorsports Park – Dawsonville, GA
- P3 Rounds 9 & 10 – March 29-30, 2025 – NOLA Motorsports Park – Avondale, LA (Playoffs and Championship)
Throughout the first four events, five practice squad drivers will be eliminated. After the fourth event, each team will release one rostered driver, leading to a final Knockout race featuring the remaining practice squad driver and the 6 drivers released at the end of the regular season. The race winner and one additional driver, saved by judges, will secure spots as practice squad drivers in the Prodigy Two (P2) Championship, set to launch in 2025. Only 18 drivers will advance to the playoffs (3 per team).
All six teams and 18 drivers will compete in the first playoff race, with the grid determined by regular-season win/loss records. The top four teams from this race will advance to the final playoff race, where the overall team and driver champions will be crowned. All 18 rostered drivers will progress to the P2 Championship in 2025.
PRL Season Two sim racing esports competitions are underway globally, giving more aspiring drivers the chance to test their skills and earn an opportunity to get behind the wheel of a real race car in June 2025. This season features more games, expanded pathways, and additional Prodigy Passes to real-world racing, including competitions at the Williams Racing Fan Zones in Austin, TX, and Las Vegas, NV, the Performance Racing Industry Show in Indianapolis (Dec. 12-14, 2024), and online events with game partners, including collaborations with the Williams Gaming Club and top sim racing influencers.
