Yashar Noohi

Hi, I’m Yashar Noohi, a fellow iRacer. I started sim racing pretty much right before the biggest exam of my educational life and in the middle of the pandemic. I used my friend’s G29 at his house back in 2021, so as a nerd, I did what I normally do about things – I found out I’m a little good at it and worked relentlessly to find the pace. I would open up iRacing and casually do 300 laps in a test session. I started watching videos about racing and researched car dynamics by reading books, notes and tips from famous fast drivers to learn the fundamentals. My racing background before starting sim racing (iRacing to be specific) was literally nothing. I wasn’t an F1 fan or a car enthusiast. I used to like airplanes a lot more than cars. I knew a lot about them, and I think that actually helped me understand cars as well, because as planes want to create lift as efficient as possible, racing cars on the other hand, want to create the opposite force (downforce) to stick to the road.
